Phoenix residents have welcomed the decision by the Democratic Alliance to take down the party’s “inflammatory” posters.

Earlier this week, the DA put up posters in Phoenix that read: “The ANC called you racists” and “The DA calls you heroes”.

The posters have attracted a lot of criticism from different parts of the country as many considered them to be insensitive. The party’s national leadership tried to defend the posters, saying the message had been misinterpreted.
