Just two days before the crucial municipal elections, both the ANC and DA believe they have done enough to win the hotly contested uMngeni Municipality.

The DA needs to garner 2 500 votes more than it got in the 2016 municipal elections for the opposition to dislodge the ANC from power.

The ANC is widely expected to return to power in most of the municipalities in the region
