The family of a Ballid Security guard, Wandile Shabalala (40) who was shot and killed on Saturday said they are hurt by his death.

Shabalala was shot and killed by his colleague, Nhlalayenza Zulu (25) who later burnt his body at New Formosa near Escourt. A relative, Gcino Shabalala said that Wandile had no issues with Zulu.

“Wandile was a very nice person who was not outspoken,” said Gcino. “Zulu wanted the company car and the gun, but he didn’t have to kill him.”
