Former president Jacob Zuma supporters, who previously threatened to converge at the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg where his application to set aside the court’s judgement against him will be heard on Monday, have backtracked.

Last week the Mkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA), an ANC faction supporting Zuma, said it would organise a rally outside the court to lend him support.

However, MKMVA spokesperson, Carl Niehaus, on Sunday could not say whether the gathering would go ahead.
