Will you be allowed to swim in the sea this festive season? That's the question thousands of people are wanting answered, but there's no clear picture emerging just yet.

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala, whose government is torn between saving lives and saving livelihoods during the festive season, said discussions on whether people should be allowed onto the province’s beaches were continuing.

The Witness reported previously that the provincial government had resolved to shut down all the beaches in the province.
