Kia’s KZN dealers bring home national awards

Kia dealers and sales staff across KwaZulu-Natal, from Vryheid in the north to Port Shepstone in the south, featured prominently in the company’s dealership awards this week.

The Category A gold winners for top Kia sales staff were an all-KZN show, with Kia dealerships in Umhlanga, Pinetown and Durban South and Umlazi taking awards home. On top of this, Kia Umhlanga won the overall Kia Dealer of the Year award.

With three gold awards (Parts, Fleet Sales and Sales), dealer principal Danny Govender and his team’s successes ranked highest in this year’s awards and they walked away with the coveted prize.

“Kia Umhlanga didn’t just go the extra mile this year, they went an extra thousand miles. Our trading conditions are more challenging than ever, so Kia Umhlanga’s ability to deliver on every level is a tremendous achievement,” said Kia South Africa’s CEO Gary Scott.

Service Operations Dealer of the Year

• Kia Durban South won gold for Category A dealers.

• Kia Pietermaritzburg won gold for Category B dealers.

• Kia Vryheid won bronze award for Category C dealers.

Parts Dealer of the Year

• Kia Umhlanga won gold for Category A dealers.

• Kia Port Shepstone won bronze for Category B dealers.

• Kia Vryheid won silver for Category C dealers.

Accessories Sales Dealer of the Year

• Kia Port Shepstone won silver for Category C dealers.

Kia Training Compliance and Completion Dealer of the Year

• Kia Durban South won gold for Category A dealers.

Kia Fleet Sales Dealer of the Year

• Kia Umhlanga and Kia East Rand shared the gold award.

Kia Sales Dealer of the Year

• Kia Umhlanga won Category A gold, Kia Pinetown took silver and Kia Durban South won bronze.

• Kia Umlazi won gold in Category C.

Kia Inspiration Awards

• Terrence Moodley at Kia Pietermaritzburg again won a Service Manager of the Year award.

• Andre Collinette at Kia Pinetown and Eric Mthethwa at Kia Umlazi won Sales Manager of the Year awards.
