Hate speech and incitement charges have been laid against activist Jackie Shandu for his anti-Indian rant.

Shandu retracted his comments on Friday and told Weekend Witness they were made in a “fit of rage”.

Cases were laid by the South African Hindu Maha Sabha and the DA.
