Midlands residents who fall under the uMgungundlovu District Municipality are desperate for help over their “excessively high municipal bills”.

A resident from Howick West told The Witness her municipal bills have shot up since May last year.

The resident, who asked not to be named in the newspaper for fear of victimisation, said her bill is now sitting at about R34 000 for March, April, May, June and July this year.
