It’s all systems go for inaugural council meetings across KwaZulu-Natal.

By the end of Monday residents in the uMgungundlovu District, eThekwini and Newcastle should know who will lead their municipalities. Other municipalities will convene their first meetings of council since the municipal elections throughout this week.

The dates for some of the meetings were rescheduled from last week after political parties appealed to the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs(Cogta) for a change of the inaugural meetings dates.
