Eighteen-year-old twins from Ballito, Amera and Zenya Naicker, scored seven distinctions each for their matric.

These Crawford International North Coast pupils were listed as outstanding achievers by the IEB, which means that they were within the top five percent in six or more subjects and achieved a rating level of seven in Life Orientation.

The sisters said that one of the biggest struggles of the academic year was being thrown in the deep-end with the pandemic, and the uncertainty of how the year was going to play out.
