Lower parts of the Ladysmith CBD were flooded following heavy downpours in the area on Tuesday night.

Over 30 mm of rainfall was recorded in the town on Tuesday.

Motorists, commuters, and businesses operating in Lyell Street had to seek alternative ways to reach work, as Ladysmith SAPS and Public Safety officers closed off the affected roads.
