KwaZulu-Natal police have warned that people who participate in gun salutes face arrest as they pose a danger to bystanders.

This after 38-year-old Teaspoon Petros Cele was shot dead during a gun salute at a funeral in Gamalakhe on the KZN South Coast over the weekend.

According to sources, Cele was attending a colleague’s funeral when he was shot.
