Mixed views as early childhood development sector moved to Department of Basic Education

There seem to be mixed feelings about the migration of the early childhood development (ECD) sector from the Department of Social Development to the Department of Basic Education.

The Education Department is expected to take over the management of the sector by April next year.

This was revealed at a joint sitting with the portfolio committee on Basic Education and Social Development on Wednesday.
