With the future of embattled Health Minister Zweli Mkhize in the balance, MPs on Friday called on him to resign in the wake of the damning Digital Vibes tender allegations levelled against him.

The call by MPs came after Mkhize withdrew from a meeting with Parliament’s health portfolio committee which was scheduled to take place on Friday morning.

He cited law enforcement agencies investigation into the R150 million tender awarded by his department to Digital Vibes as the reason he did not attend.
