The N2 between Harding and Boboyi on the KZN South Coast remains closed due to the unrest.

Although purchasing food, supplies and filling up petrol is a challenge for most residents on the South Coast, there are petrol stations and supermarkets that are currently opened.

Also, queues outside shops have been very long and reports suggest these supermarkets will not open the whole day.

While the N2 between Shelly Beach and Scottburgh is clear, the Izotsha area remains closed off.

Community watch groups are still calling on people to stay at home and remain on high alert.
