Over 75% of Newcastle Municipality’s staff are now fully vaccinated, following its ‘I got vaccinated’ campaign.

The campaign challenged all municipal staff, 97% of whom deal with the public daily, to get vaccinated against Covid-19, in a bid to inspire the community, especially youth, to go out and get their vaccine.

Two months ago, the municipal town hall was converted into a vaccination site, resulting in municipal staff flocking to the venue to receive their jabs.
