Millions of rand worth of stolen property was recovered by police in Pietermaritzburg and Howick at the weekend.

The goods were looted from businesses during last week’s violent unrest.

Officers did house to house searches in Cinderella Park, Eastwood and the Jika Joe informal settlement and also targeted specific properties in some parts of the Pietermaritzburg CBD.
