It's probably the last thing you would expect to happen - a truck coming through the roof of your workplace. But, a warehouse in Pinetown experienced exactly this.

A man, believed to be in his 40's, was seriously injured after he lost control of his truck and crashed through the roof of a factory at the bottom of a steep embankment in Westmead, Pinetown.

Rescue Care said they found that the driver of the truck had already crawled out of the wreckage to safety and was helped by bystanders. Footage shows the truck crashing through an armco barrier at full speed and plummeting into the roof of a warehouse below. Miraculously no one inside the warehouse was injured.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
