Two people were killed and 27 others were injured in an accident on the N2 near the Tugela bridge on Monday morning, April 26.
IPSS Medical Rescue said they are currently on scene. They report that a delivery van carrying employees was involved in an accident with a truck.
According to IPSS spokesperson, Paul Herbst, there are currently 27 injured people.
“The bodies of the dead are quite badly damaged and it had looked like three patients but it is actually two fatalities.
“Injuries are ranging from moderate to critical. Paramedics and rescue crews are working to manage the scene and patients,” said Herbst.
The N2 south bound towards Stanger is currently closed and medical helicopters are inbound to assist with airlifting critically injured people to hospital, he said.
