According to IPSS spokesperson, Paul Herbst, there are currently 27 injured people.

“The bodies of the dead are quite badly damaged and it had looked like three patients but it is actually two fatalities.

“Injuries are ranging from moderate to critical. Paramedics and rescue crews are working to manage the scene and patients,” said Herbst.

The N2 south bound towards Stanger is currently closed and medical helicopters are inbound to assist with airlifting critically injured people to hospital, he said.
