The office of KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala, on Wednesday reiterated that he does not get involved in the appointment of the Zulu nation’s king.

“Those matters are handled by the Zulu royal family,” Zikalala’s spokesperson, Lennox Mabaso said.

He was responding to media reports which claimed that some royal family members contesting the appointment of new Zulu monarch, King Misizulu kaZwelithini, have sent Zikalala names of people who they believe should be considered for the throne.
