While roads in KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape re-opened on Sunday after snow that forced their closures started melting, Afriski Mountain Resort woke up to a blanket of snow after receiving a further 15 to 20 centimetres of snow.

On Saturday, the Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho received five centimetres of snow which started to fall on Friday night.

The resort was thrilled to see the snowfall and said that despite the myths around Friday the 13th, the day actually brought them joy.
