Our hardworking healthcare workers need your help. That’s the message underpinning a new community campaign, #SpreadTheHope, which aims to provide nurses with nutritious meals.
Claire Barnard, a dietitian from Steart Barnard & Associates, said nurses are often too exhausted, after spending 12 hours caring for patients, to cook themselves a proper meal when they get home. Working in the intensive care unit at Hilton Life Hospital she has seen first hand the toll the pandemic is taking on their personal lives.
Some nurses are self-isolating to protect their families, while others simply have no energy to cook or do household chores.
