Unlike in previous DA KwaZulu-Natal congresses where the winner of the leadership race could be identified at the early stages of the race, party insiders say it is difficult to say which of the three candidates will emerge in tomorrow’s congress.

DA chief whip, Francois Rodgers, the party’s eThekwini caucus leader, Nicole Graham, and her deputy, Emmanuel Mhlongo, will be vying for the DA provincial leader position in Friday’s congress.

While Rodgers has been described as the most popular of the three candidates, insiders said Graham and Mhlongo could spring a surprise.
