Ntombifuthi Xaki, Lindani Myeni’s grandmother got emotional during the memorial service held in Richards Bay on Thursday.

It was a sombre and defiant setting as families and friends of the late Lindani Myeni gathered for his memorial service in Richards Bay on Thursday.

The former rugby player was killed last month during a scuffle with Honolulu Police officers in the United States of America, who were responding to an active burglary.

Myeni’s family are disputing the version of events and intend on suing the Honolulu Police Department over what they allege was an unfair killing.
