WATCH | KZN turns into a winter wonderland

Several parts of KwaZulu-Natal turned into a winter wonderland on Saturday much to the delight of snow lovers.

On Saturday morning, the South African Weather Services (SAWS) confirmed that there was a light snow fall at Sani Pass in Drakensberg.

Parts of Hilton also had some snow which many people said looked like a light hail.

Both adults and children were excited to see the snow fall despite it being lighter than they would have wanted.

Impendle and Bulwer towards Underberg also had a bit on snow, which residents were thrilled see covering their lawns and streets.

“It felt good waking up to snow after a while of not having snow,” said one of the resident in Impendle.

Residents in Mooi River and Daggle area also reported snow fall.

The Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho confirmed that they received a little bit of snow in the morning but were expecting more snow later in the day. Two weeks ago, the resort had snow which they described as a blessing since it started falling on Friday the 13th.
