The Zulu Royal family has been reduced to begging for donations to host one of its biggest annual traditional festivals, after the government suspended financial support.

On Wednesday, Prince Thulani Zulu, told The Witness that they were appealing for donations to ensure the success of the annual uMkhosi weLembe tomorrow.

He said the event would go ahead even if there was no catering.
