Supporters of Jacob Zuma held a picnic outside his Nkandla homestead on Monday as a show of support following a troubled year for the former president.

Njabulo “Phohloza” Zungu, one of the organisers of the picnic, said it was important for Zuma to know that ANC members still supported him.

“We are here to celebrate our president and also support him because he has found himself arrested without trial and case number. We are here to show love and also wish him a belated merry Christmas and a happy New Year,” said Zungu.
