It’s a year since the country’s first positive Covid-19 patient — a Midlands father of two — was identified.
The 38-year-old Hilton man, whose name has never been published by The Witness out of respect for his privacy and that of his family, fortunately survived the scary virus but the traumatic ordeal has clearly taken its toll.
When approached by The Witness for an interview on Thursday about how he and his family were doing a year later and now that the public is much better informed about the rampant pandemic, Patient Zero “respectfully declined” to talk about the experience.
