What was meant to be a day of celebration for Georgetown High School in Edendale, which achieved a 100% pass rate, turned sour when pupils discovered their results statements had “gone missing” from the Pietermaritzburg district offices.
And attempts throughout the day to find out from the education authorities what became of the batch of Georgetown school results proved fruitless for the school, parents, and pupils.
Late on Tuesday afternoon KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi responded to an enquiry by The Witness saying the department has reprinted the statement of results and sent them to the district office.
