Msunduzi mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla has pleaded with residents to be patient as he and the newly installed government work to return Pietermaritzburg to its former glory.

In a conversation with Weekend Witness, Thebolla said work to ensure the City was no longer regarded as “the City of filth” continued behind the scenes.

Thebolla spoke about taking over the reins in 2019, being available 24/7, drawing the line when people attempted to abuse access to him, and dealing with cyberbullies online.
