A man was shot and killed on Tuesday night during an attempted robbery at a petrol station on the Alan Paton Road.

The Witness visited the scene, and it was alleged that the incident took place just after 10.30 pm when a man approached the security officer who was on duty.

According to sources at the scene, the man allegedly stabbed one of the security officers who was on duty with a screwdriver on the hand.

The injured security guard alerted his supervisors about the incident.

“More security officers from different companies arrived at the scene and he attempted to flee the scene,” said a source.

When the man was approached by the security guards, he attempted to stab them with a screwdriver.

It is believed that the man was shot in the chest and thigh by one of the security guards and he died at the scene.

The police were then called to the scene.

Currently, the garage itself has not resumed its operations after the riot that erupted in the province in July.

However, the garage is also used as one of the parking lots for a freight company.

At the scene, blood stains allegedly from the suspect can be seen where the alleged incident took place.

This is a developing story.
