There’s been a sharp increase in business robberies in the Pietermaritzburg CBD, with one group allegedly involved in four hits on businesses in the last 10 days.

According to private security companies, the last three weeks have seen an uptick in business robberies.

They believe that this category of crime is expected to increase dramatically during the festive season period.
