The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) confirmed on Monday that next year’s Comrades Marathon will take place on June 13, 2021.

This year’s race, which was scheduled to take place on June 14, was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The CMA had been reluctant to cancel the race, but it eventually had to succumb to pressure from government and the realisation that the Covid-19 pandemic was still expected to peak in South Africa.
