With tensions over the “irregular” nomination of ANC councillor candidates in Msunduzi escalating, branch leaders around the Henley Dam are vacating their positions.

This is as their lives have come under threat from disgruntled ANC branch leaders in ward 4, which includes parts of Henley Dam and the Esigodini area.

According to sources, three ANC leaders serving in the branch’s executive committee (BEC) have quit.
