Eleven people were injured on Monday morning when a taxi and a car collided at the Topham and College Road intersection in Pietermaritzburg.

Russel Meiring, ER24’s spokesperson, said the accident happened at around 5.30 am. He said the taxi was found lying on its side in the intersection. A small car was found parked a few metres away.

Meiring said one person was in a serious condition while ten others had sustained only minor to moderate injuries
