A gunman on Wednesday told the Pietermaritzburg high court that he and another man were offered R30 000 to kill a man’s ex-girlfriend and her new lover in Cinderella Park.

But Thulani Dladla was paid nothing in the end.

Instead, he was arrested, pleaded guilty to murdering Sizwe Motsienyana and attempting to murder Nokubonga Mbongwa, and was sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment.
