Msunduzi Municipality has been accused of losing documents for indigent applications.

Ward councillors who have been helping residents put together their applications for indigent status said it appeared the City had no proper control of residents’ documents.

The City’s indigent policy allows Msunduzi to provide poorer households with free allocations of electricity, water, and other services. The applications are currently open to qualifying individuals.
