Businesswoman Kavitha Nerputh was found murdered in her car in January.

Simphiwe Mweli (37) told magistrate Bhekizitha Phoswa that he admitted to seeing Kavitha Nerputh in Alexandra Park on the day of her death, January 20 last year.

He also admitted that he got into her car — a silver Audi Q7 SUV — claiming that she had asked him if he wanted a job.

Mweli alleged that after he told her he wanted work, she offered him R1 000 to kill her. Sex was also mentioned. Mweli said he refused the offer, got out of the car and left.
