Frustrated motorists want the traffic authorities in Msunduzi and uMngeni to stop heavy vehicles from using Old Howick Road, between Pietermaritzburg and Hilton.

One driver reported seeing three huge trucks, including one full of cattle, as she drove towards Hilton.

She added that the vehicles caused a long queue all the way towards Pietermaritzburg, creating dangerous driving conditions on an already narrow road.
