KwaZulu-Natal high court Judge Jerome Mnguni is to be laid to rest in Nongoma with the agreement of his widow, Nomusa.

This follows a protracted legal battle between Nomusa Mnguni and her brother-in-law, Funulwazi Mnguni over the rights to bury her husband, which has ended up in the Supreme Court of Appeal.

She wanted him to be buried in Pietermaritzburg and the Mnguni family wanted the burial to take place in Nongoma.
