Man shot dead in Pietermaritzburg.

A 30-year-old man was shot dead inside a car in the Pietermaritzburg CBD on Wednesday afternoon.

Mi7 National Group’s Emergency Services said the man was found lying inside the car which was riddled with bullet holes.

He died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

Mo Ghasitha of the SPT Tactical Security, said the man was in the passager’s seat.

“The driver jumped out of the car when the shots were fired and was not injured. At this stage, the motive is unknown,” said Ghasitha.

No arrest has been made and a case of murder is under police investigation.

This is a developing story.
