A family of four from Nxamalala in Sweetwaters have been arrested after they allegedly beat a 23-year-old man to death whom they suspected of stealing from their house on Friday morning.

Syabonga Ngubane’s lifeless body was found lying on the road by passing community members on Friday. It is alleged that the perpetrators had dumped his body on the road after killing him.

A woman (62), and her three sons — aged 19, 32 and 35 — were arrested on Saturday and charged with a murder. They are expected to appear in court this week.
