A survey conducted by the Hilton Ratepayers Association (HRA) shows a high level of dissatisfaction with service delivery from the Msunduzi and uMngeni municipalities.

Mike Tarr, chair of the association, said 248 people took part in the survey which was conducted in February and March. There were three main sections in the survey. Msunduzi Municipality’s electricity supply; uMngeni Municipality’s delivery of municipal services excluding water; and proposed actions.

Msunduzi was rated for billing and service delivery. Only one person found service delivery to be good while 156 people found it to be “atrocious”.
