Msunduzi Municipality has finally opened a criminal case against former municipal manager, Sizwe Hadebe.
He is facing charges for the alleged irregular appointment of Clive Lotz and the inflation of a purchase price for a farm in Lamonstville. Lotz is a former councillor who was found to have been irregularly appointed as a senior manager of the speaker after he defected from the DA to the ANC. Hadebe is also facing charges for the alleged irregular appointment of a service provider.
This is detailed in a confidential report tabled in council on Wednesday.
