Three men charged with the murder of former University of KwaZulu-Natal professor and artist, Francois Hugo (82), have been remanded in custody until next week.

Two of them, Kwazi Kunene (28) of Sweetwaters and Simphiwe Ngcaya (35) of Sobantu appeared briefly in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Their names have been added to the charge sheet of Kwanele Ntuli (29) of Sweetwaters who made his first court appearance on Thursday.
