The acting principal of the Nizamia Islamic School, Omar Cassim Mohideen, who was also the English teacher, has died.

He died on Thursday following a short illness.

The board of governors, staff, pupils and parents of the school have been left saddened by his sudden death, said Mohamed Saeed,department head at the school.
