Parents whose children were involved in an accident between a school minibus and a truck knew about the poor condition of the bus.

They said they had no choice but to let their children travel in it because other pupil transport operators in the area had no space for their children.

Driving an unroadworthy car is one of the charges being investigated by the police from the accident on Ohrtmann Road, Pietermaritzburg on Monday afternoon.
