Thabani Zimu’s RDP house was allegedly sold to another person for R15 000.
Thabani Zimu’s RDP house was allegedly sold to another person for R15 000.

After waiting for seven years for his RDP house, Thabani Zimu, from Zayeka in Sweetwaters, recently discovered that building work had been completed two years ago and that his house was “sold” for R15 000.

He told The Witness that construction on the house was completed in September 2019 — on someone else’s site.

It is also alleged that the house was sold by the former community liaison officer (CLO) at the Vulindlela Development Association (VDA), whose identity is known to The Witness, for R15 000.
