Northdale pensioners whose electricity was previously disconnected as a result of a R54 000 electricity bill due to inaccurate billing, have again been cut off.

Moonsamy and Krishnamoeny Naidoo’s daughter, Devashree said her parents applied as indigents when they were disconnected in August.

“They have since been very cautious about their electric usage, turning off the geyser during the day, cooking on gas and they don’t use the heater but they are still charged a huge bill,” said Davashree.
