Msunduzi Association of Residents, Ratepayers and Civics (MARRC) has raised serious concerns regarding the appalling state of Mountain Rise Cemetery, especially the cremation niche memorial wall.

The association said the overgrown grass, and vandalism of the facility was proof that the municipality had neglected the site.

The Witness also visited the cremation niche memorial wall following a public outcry about the facility.
